Welcome to Guardian Angel's
National Junior Honor Society!!

Mission Statement

The purpose of the National Junior Honor Society is to create an enthusiasm for superior scholarship; to develop citizenship; to stimulate a desire to serve; to promote leadership; and to instill exemplary qualities of character.

About NJHS

The National Junior Honor Society helps young adults build leadership, character, academic excellence, and social skills. The meetings are run completely by each year’s student officers. We participate in our school’s recycling program and tutor younger students at Guardian Angels. The National Junior Honor Society also holds bimonthly bagel sales. We also help at two of the dances each year. The organization is very involved with the school and is happy to have hard working, energetic students showing leadership among their peers.

The New Members

Every year in March, we invite the 7th graders with a GPA of 3.0 or higher to become a part of National Junior Honor Society.
They must fill out an application and return it by a certain day. After all the applications have been turned in, each student is scheduled
for an interview with one of the teachers on the NJHS committee. When the interviews are all finished, the teachers make the selection.
