Little Wings Preschool is a Christ-centered learning environment supported by our Catholic community that instills an appreciation of our faith. Children are met at all levels of development for social, emotional, physical, and intellectual growth. Our play-based program offers one-on-one instruction with centers that focus on fine motor and academic skills. Weekly music, gym, and art classes are provided along with participation in a Christmas and spring concert. Preschool children may attend our Extended School Program which is available both before and after school.
Kindergarten – Fifth Grade
Students in K-5 are challenged to expand their knowledge in the core subject areas, including reading, language arts, mathematics, social studies and science. Special emphasis is placed upon our religious studies as we grow spiritually in our Catholic faith. Second graders prepare for both the Sacrament of Reconciliation and the Sacrament of the Eucharist. The students also participate in art, music, computers, library, physical education, and Spanish. Field trips taken place extra emphasis upon topics studied within the classroom. The children learn character development and organizational skills in preparation for independent studies in the older grades.
The Academy includes grades 6-8 and focuses on preparing our students to be successful and independent in high school. Students have a set schedule consisting of six core classes daily at 45 minutes per class. The core classes focus on math, English, science, social studies, literature, and most importantly, our Catholic religion. They also attend classes in music, physical fitness, art, Spanish and computers. In the 8th grade, qualified students may attend an advanced math class at Bishop Foley High School. Students are expected to prepare for each class independently throughout the day.
