Why use SCRIP?
 Guardian Angels School has established the SCRIP program as a tuition deduction program. It costs nothing to participate except for the actual purchase (exchange) of money for the SCRIP.

How do we receive credit toward tuition?
 The percentage amount listed next tot he store you choose to buy SCRIP from is the amount of the tuition credit you will receive from the purchase, less $1.00 for the program expenses. Therefore, if your order looks like this:

This translates into a $11.30 tuition credit. You bought $130 of SCRIP (this is money you would have spent anyway), and your tuition is reduced by $11.30. AND this is only one week!

What is the order/pick-up Schedule?
 Orders are accepted all day Friday and Monday mornings by 8:30am. Any order received after that time will be returned. Orders may be sent with your son or daughter in a sealed envelope marked SCRIP to the homeroom or left in the Education Center Office.

The SCRIP will be available for pick-up on Thursdays from 7:30am until 8:00am and from 2:30pm until 3:15pm. A SCRIP table will be located in the main entrance area of the school. Parents wishing their son or daughter to bring the SCRIP home must sign a release form permitting this type of delivery. Release forms cannot be carried over from year to year. Please fill out a new form and send it in with your order. Your son/daughter will sign for the order when they receive it. SCRIP is the same as money and, if lost, the school cannot be responsible for replacement.

What if my child is in the Extended School Program and released at a later time?
 Because SCRIP is substitute money and negotiable, parents with a child or children in the Extended School Program are requested to pick up their order on Thursday mornings from 7:30am until 8:00am.

How do I pay for my order?
 Only checks or money orders are accepted. Checks must be made out to "Guardian Angels SCRIP". No cash or charges may be made for SCRIP at this time. A check for payment-in-full must accompany the order on Monday. An order without a check cannot be processed. Only one check per family (in school family's name). If family members place orders, have them pay you. Multiple orders and checks with names we don't have in the computer make things more difficult for volunteers.

How long is the SCRIP valid?
 Purchased SCRIP is normally valid for a one-year period. However, each merchant is independent and may have different validity dates.

Do I receive change for SCRIP when I use it at the store?
 Normally change is not received when using SCRIP. For instance, a bill for $13 will require a $10 denomination SCRIP and $3 cash. However, some stores have their own policies, such as Meijer and Farmer Jack. They will give change up to $5.

What denominations of SCRIP are available?
 SCRIP is available in the denomination cited in the vendor list. They range from $2 (Baskin Robbins) to $250 (Sears), depending on the merchant. Please refer to any updated lists that come home with your child. Scrip can make changes at any time. We will also post changes on the GAP board and on the GA web site.

When will my tuition account receive the credit from my SCRIP purchases?
 Accounts will be credited on a monthly basis.

Is the credit received from SCRIP refundable in cash?
 No. SCRIP is not refundable. If a family leaves the school, any remaining credit will be transferred to the School General Fund.

May I purchase SCRIP if my tuition account is already paid in full?
 Yes. The credit earned from SCRIP will be applied to the following year's tuition account. If a family leaves the school, any remaining credit will be transferred to the School General Fund.

How do I get an order form?
 For your first order, you will need to pick up a SCRIP order form in school office. After that, each time you pick up your SCRIP order, a new order form will be included with your SCRIP. You may send your order in with your child or drop it off in the school office on Friday (will be held till Monday) or Monday (SCRIP order day).
